These early private performances took place in my bathroom, exploring the metaphoric qualities of honey. I was playing with ideas around disgust and appeal and parallels to sexuality. The honey, eaten until I could not consume anymore, applied to my face until I could not see, and finally expelled over my body, is a vehicle of overconsumption. Making these performances in an unwashed bathroom played with notions of cosmetic care and clandestine sexuality.
